I Stand With Sotomayor

Ever since President Obama nominated Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court,
right wingers have been waging a coordinated attack on her character and
intelligence and spreading disrespectful images of her. I just downloaded a
powerful poster from Presente.org to show my support for Judge Sotomayor.
I hope you will join me!

Hearings on Judge Sotomayor’s confirmation are only a month away.
[1]In the meantime, right-wing activists have pledged to continue their attacks.
[2] We can’t let them dominate the conversation. It’s up to us to show just how
many people stand behind Judge Sotomayor. So I’m joining Presente.org in a
campaign to distribute this poster everywhere—on web sites, in street windows,
and on office walls.

Dr. Harvey,

It is a shame that people in this country are so divisive when it comes to people of color and powerful positions! Oh well! Like my boss says, "It is what it is!" Talk to you soon!

Mr. Holt, your boss is absolutely correct. It is what it is and Sonia Sotomayor is the best qualified jurist to be nominated for the Supreme Court in the past 25 years, color and sex not withstanding. She will be more of a credit to her race than Clarence Thomas has been to his.
